Nathaniel Lewis Jennings, age 83 of Glade Hill, VA was called home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022. He was the only son born February 7, 1939. Lewis was a lifelong truck driver for 50 years before he retired and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Lula Jennings; brothers-in-law, Raynard Dillon and Edward Baily; and sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Dillon. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Jo Jennings; son, Randy Jennings and his wife Nancy of Burnt Chimney; daughter, Kay Jennings of Glade Hill; grandchildren, Tiffany Thurman of Rocky Mount, Lindsey Thurman of Glade Hill; great-grandchildren, Addie Lambert, Brantley Moore, Paisley Moore; sister, Patricia Bailey of Rocky Mount; special niece; Candy Hunt; nephews, Scott Dillon, Darin Bailey, Jeff Bailey; special friends, Dwayne and Mary Law; and his special fur babies who he loved dearly. The family would like to thank the hospice nurses of Amedisys Hospice for their care. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. His family will receive visitors at the home of Mary Jo Jennings, 567 Powells Store Road, Glade Hill, Va. 24092. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
