Neal Hunt

John “Neal” Hunt, age 30 of Wirtz passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He is finally at peace, wrapped in the arms of our heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Gary W. Hunt; grandfathers, J.W. Hunt, William E. Neal; and grandmother, Lucille Hunt. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Patricia K. Hunt; sisters, Catherine (Nathanael) Otis, and Elizabeth Hunt; nephew, Pierce Otis; and his Mema, Drucilla Neal; his dogs, Lily and Jasmine; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gary W. Hunt Scholarship Fund, c/o Franklin County Public Schools Food Service Department, 25 Bernard Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
