Nelle Quinn Richards

Nelle Quinn Richards, 91, died on July 10th. She was born in Piney River, Virginia, daughter of Stringfellow Quinn and Virginia Carter Quinn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dr. Lewis G. Richards, Jr., her brother, Frank S. Quinn, and her sister Nancy Quinn Huffman. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Women?s College and had been a member of First Presbyterian Church of Roanoke and Burnt Chimney United Methodist Church in Franklin County. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Carter Richards, George Richards (Connie), Nancy Richards Miller (Mike), and Gail Richards Dunn (Don). Her grandchildren and their spouses are Deane Pinchak (Meredith), Nelle Neczypor (Jim), Heather Whitson (Eric), George Richards (Natalie), Michael Richards Miller (Linda), and Matthew Quinn Miller (Emily). In addition, there are six great-grandchildren. The burial will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/ Smith Mountain Lake.
