Nellie Via Rush

Nellie Via Rush, age 84 of Hardy was born February 9, 1934, and went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2018. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, A. Frank Rush; her children, F. Dale Joyce, Sheree Major, Hilda Goad, Susan Delong, Polly Prillaman, Harvey Prillaman (Kathy Prillaman), Julie Hubbard (Karl Hubbard), Mary Lou Prillaman; and step-son, Dale Rush. She had 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. With a heart full of love, she assisted with 27 foster children. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Fred and Lessie Via; and sister, Hazel Hale (Roy Hale). Surviving sisters are, Ann Sigmon (Laymond) and Ada Beeghly (Bobby). Friends of the family are being received at her home Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at 160 Sparrow Lane, Hardy, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
