Norma Carolyn Zeigler Pagans

After 53 years of marriage, Norma Carolyn Zeigler Pagans, age 91 of Rocky Mount, VA passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 24, 2022, following a long battle of Dementia. She has now reunited with her gentle giant of a husband, Hoover. Known to many as "Mom and Pop Pagans" of Pagans Save Station.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hoover Pagans; parents, Otha and Anna Folce Young Zeigler; all of her brothers and sisters, Bernice Zeigler (Janie), Roy Zeigler, Sr. (Ann), Adolphus "Doc" Zeigler (Hazel), Raymond Elwood Zeigler (Frances), Bobby Wayne Zeigler (Charlotte); two twin infant sisters; and Betty Zeigler Jones (Spike).

Left to cherish her memory are her only son, Ricky Dale Pagans of Rocky Mount, VA; her trusted friend, caretaker, ex-daughter-in-law, and guardian, Karla Weaver Pagans; two step-grandchildren, Coree Weaver Riddle Pienkowski (Greg), Ryan David Weaver. Two loves of her life, special helpers and joy to her day step-great granddaughters, Caedyn Grace and Chloee Faith Riddle; special cousin, Pete Zeigler (loving known as Peter Rabbit); and special nieces, Mrs. Debbie Kent, Mrs. Donna Bennett and Mrs. Shelia Harmon; several nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great-great nephews. A dedicated hairdresser until 2020, Karen Smith and a cherished lifelong doctor, Dr. Jack "Dr Bum" Bumgardner.

Norma graduated from Glade Hill School and met the love of her life, Hoover "Hoov" Pagans of Penhook, VA. She retired from DuPont and continued working for the Franklin County Retail Merchants with her good friend, Dorothy Cundiff. Norma could also be seen helping customers at her husband and son's convenient and gas store, Pagans Save Station, located across from Sheetz in Rocky Mount, VA and later sold to DollarTree.

At Norma's request, there will be no funeral services and a private family interment on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Franklin Memorial Park with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
