Norman W. Moore

Norman W. Moore, age 92 of Rocky Mount passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Beulah Moore; son, Benny Moore; and brothers, Damon and Eugene Moore. Mr. Moore was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He retired from Grand Piano with 31 years of service. He leaves behind his wife, Dee Moore; son, Bobby Moore; daughter, Jean Guthrie; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gentle Shepherd Hospice. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount, VA.
