Ora Guilliams Hale, age 96 of Rocky Mount, died Saturday April 14, 2007 at Franklin Health Care.
She was born January 16, 1911 in Franklin County a daughter of the late William “Will” and Pencie Cooper Guilliams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Roy Hale, Sr.; two sons, Cecil Edward Hale, James “Billy” Hale; two grandchildren, Michael Wayne Hale, Gregory Steven Hale; five sisters; two brothers.
Mrs. Hale was retired from Bassett Chair Company.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence Eugene and Clara Hale, Roy Ernest, Jr. and Hazel Hale, Diane Trout Hale all of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; eight great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillian Hale Guilliams.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Mike Lawhorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Hale Family Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Henry Community Center/Henry Volunteer Fire Department, 5241 Henry Road, Henry, Va. 24102.
Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday with her family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
