Otis "Pete" Craddock

Otis Leon "Pete" Craddock, 82 years of age of Ferrum, returned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.  Pete was a gentle, humble giant, well known for his Christian character and a faithful, charter member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Pete served in the United States Army and was well known for his auto body repair business. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pansy Carter Craddock, of the home.  In addition, he is survived by his son, Steve Foley and wife Kay; daughters, Cindy Spencer and husband Darrell, and Kimberly Joyce and husband Randy; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Flora Craddock; grandson, Adam Spencer; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. Interment will follow in the Carter-Young Cemetery with military honors. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
