Pat Ronald Owens, age 85 of Henry, Va. and Bluefield, West Virginia went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ October 7, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield, WV. He was born December 2, 1924 son of the late John and Nina Owens. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margie Copeland Owens, two brothers and four sisters. Mr. Owens was a member of Providence Baptist Church, was retired from the railroad and Stanley Furniture. He was a Veteran serving in World War II. Surviving is one brother Raymond Owens, Jacksonville Fla. Also surviving is his sister-in-law Lorraine Turner (Woodie). Other survivors include his nieces Rita O. Morgan Jacksonville, Fla. Rita H. Hunt, Rocky Mount, Sharon Murphy (Danny), Bassett, Va. , Mitzi Turner, Bluefield, WV. Great nieces and nephews Shawn Morgan, Jacksonville, FL. Brian D. Hunt, Rocky Mount, Va. , Jason Belcher, Richmond, Va. , Joshua Murphy, Bassett, Va. , Daniel Murphy, Indiana, other nieces and nephews and his caregiver and friend Carol Tooley. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 10, 2010 in Henry Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Shively and Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. His family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center Rocky Mount.
