Listen to Obituary

On the morning of November 13, 2024, Pattie L. English Amos awoke in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A Glade Hill resident born of the late Margie Turner English.

The wife of Robert Amos entailed a special bond that was truly sent from heaven above. Robert and Pattie along with brother-in-law, Earnest, the perfect trio of what lives of trials, obstacles and overcoming entailed. Together, their lasting impressions and impact left a mark everywhere they went.

Pattie was well known for the art of making “cat head biscuits” at various local convenience store locations. A devoted caregiver for family, an NFL and a Toby Keith fan.

As her health allowed, Pattie was a devoted member of Wirtz Assemblies of God where she gave from her heart faithfully.

Her absent father left the opportunity for her devoted loving uncles to stand in the gap to guide and protect her. Whether butting heads with Johnnie, joking with Calvin or just needing extra help from Denver, they were always there for her.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Amos; brother-in-law, Earnest Amos; aunt, Kathy Dillon (Phillip); uncle, Rev. Denver Turner (Donna); several cousins, Cheryl Divers, Basil Divers, Alicia Foster, Teresa Craghead, John Turner (Marcia), Crystal Turner-Avila, Lisa Leak (Corny), Kristen Fields (Mike), Kaitlin Divers (James), Lindsey Foster, John Turner, Lexi Turner, Liam Fields, Levi Fields, Tyre Leak, Cornelia Leak, Luke Fields, Cambrya Washburn and Cornelius Leak. As well as several extended family members whom she loved dearly.

The family request no food, rather monetary donations in her memory are sent to Wirtz Assemblies of God, 1718 Burnt Chimney Road, Wirtz, VA 24184 or to Flora Funeral Service, P.O. Box 763, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 (540-483-3835) to assist with final expenses.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2024 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Denver Turner and Mr. John Turner officiating. Private interment will follow in the Turner Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
