Paul Wesley Aker

Paul Wesley Aker, age 84 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, September 17, 2012. He was a member of Gogginsville United Methodist Church, a retired carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Emma Louise Aker; daughter, Patricia “Patty” Aker Hodges; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Aker; brothers, Galen, William and Carlton. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Betty Aker; son-in-law, Jackie Hodges; grandchildren, Dawn Campbell (Chris), Brad Aker; step-granddaughters, Rebecca McGuillon and Sharon Eastham; brothers and sisters, Henry Aker, Dorothy Webb, Kate Flora, Mary Wade Akers(Carl), Bud Aker(Janet) and Carol David(Ronald); many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Gogginsville United Methodist Church 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Mark Richardson and Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gogginsville United Methodist Church.
