Paul E. Bussey

Paul E. Bussey, age 85 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Julia Bussey; and other family members, Milton and Una Young, Charlie and Virginia Bussey, Joe and Eva Bussey, Lewis Bussey, Nellie Holland and Buford Young. Paul was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren where he held many positions. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Gladys; other family members, Ralph and Etta Young, Ruth and Buren Austin, Myrtle Burgess, Hazel Burgess, David and Juanita Young, Fred and Cecile Bussey, Betty Kingery, Dorothy Bussey and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, a very special caregiver, Mildred Dalton; and his church family. Funeral services will be conducted from Fairview Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Jeff Wray officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairview Church of the Brethren Building Fund, c/o Thomas Young, 60 Belmont Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
