Paul Z. Lynch, age 82 of Callaway, went to be with the lord on Saturday, March 17, 2007.
Mr. Lynch was the son of the late Zack and Dessie Lynch, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine R. Lynch; sisters, Hazel, Elsie, Ruby, Nannie Kate; and son-in-law, Johnny Price.
In early years Paul worked for shipyards in Norfolk, Circle Cab, owned several produce markets and retired from Continental Homes. In retirement, Paul loved to garden and share his fruits of labor with family and friends. Paul was always willing to share infinite knowledge, wisdom and many stories with everyone.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Paulette Miller and husband Stuart, Gail Price; grandchildren, Courtney, JJ, Chris, Sian, and Trung; seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul will also be greatly missed by many of his traveling buddies.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday with Mr. Tommy Barrett and Rev. David Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 180 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday with his family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount and other times at the family home, 168 Loblolly Lane, Glade Hill.
