Paul Hughes Thurman

Paul Hughes Thurman, 88, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bentley and Annie Hudson Thurman; and his sister, Anne Thurman Leggett.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Donna Thurman Chandler (Richard); his granddaughter, Sarah Chandler Kelly (Zachary); his great-granddaughter, Harper Kelly; his brother, Joe Henry Thurman (Cherold); his sister, Penny Thurman Graveley; his nieces and nephew, Kathy Thurman Raab (Paul), Karen Thurman, Richard Thurman (Leslie), Kristie Thurman; and many beloved friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151, at 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, with the Rev. Gary Alls officiating. A private interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
