Pearl May Jones

Pearl M. Surface Jones, age 93 of Rocky Mount died peacefully in her sleep early Saturday, November 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Jones. Surviving are her children, Hazel (Jerry) Dalton, Robert (Arlene) Jones, Rita (Michael) Campbell all of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Susan (Sandy) Grice, Andy Dalton both of Rocky Mount, Cristi (Dean) Lambert of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Tanya (James) Martin of Salem; eight great-grandchildren; and special niece, Shirley Bowles. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Kirby Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
