Peggy Ann Washburn Lynch

Peggy Washburn Lynch, age 83 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, August 20, 2011. She was born July 22, 1928 a daughter of the late John and Annie Gravely Washburn. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin P. McGhee; son, Deward McGhee; daughter, Mary Jo McGhee Parker. Surviving are her husband, Guy Lynch; sons and daughters-in-law, Seward McGhee and wife Ann of Mechanicsville, VA, Burrell McGhee and wife Sharon of Salem; son-in-law, Kenny Parker; step-children, Galen and Vickie Bowman of Rocky Mount, Mike and Junell Lynch of Covington, OH, Danny and Shirley Lynch of Ronan, MT, Randy and Shari Lynch of Roseville, IN; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Carey and Fern Washburn, Kinston, NC. The family extends a special thank you to Franklin Health and Rehab Staff for outstanding service. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Jim Compton officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Snow Creek Christian Church, 4970 Snow Creek Road, Martinsville, VA 24112. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
