Penny Lynn James

Penny Lynn James, age 60 of Ferrum, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles, Sr. and Patsy Woods Hylton; in-laws, Ray and Ruby James. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Wesley; son, Josh James (Olivia Holland); brother, Charles “Bubba” Hylton Jr.; and sister, Pattie Hylton. Penny worked as bookkeeper at Redwood Minute Markets with over 25 years of service. She was also a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 with Pastor Jimmy Calhoun officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
