Pete Aheron

After 72 years of hard work and complete dedication to his family, Zelphia “Pete” Aheron I, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 8th. A father and grandfather like none other. He was a friend to everyone, and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Spencer Aheron. He was also survived by Janice Aheron Spangler, Welvie Bowling (daughter & fiancée) , Lorie Elizabeth Spencer & Charles Wesley Spangler Jr (grandchildren), Lorie Aheron Hubbard, Daniel Hubbard (daughter & son-in-law), Cody Davis Hubbard (grandchild), Donald Wayne Aheron, Brooke Aheron (son and daughter-in-law), Ashlee Marie Aheron, Joshua Drew Aheron (grandchildren), Zelphia “Pete” Aheron II, Marietta Harmon (son & fiancée), Karen Leigh Harmon, Paul Andrew Harmon (grandchildren). Also surviving are Willie Aheron, Joseph Abner Aheron (brothers), Pat Aheron Helms (sister), Jimmy DeHart (best friend) and Corky (loyal and faithful dog). He was preceded in death by Willie & Minnie Lou Aheron (parents), Katherine Aheron Spencer & Marie Aheron Emerson (sisters) Brindle Abigail Chitwood (granddaughter) and Pamela Bevine Aheron (niece). He attended Prillaman Baptist Church of Henry. A funeral service will be held at Flora Funeral Service Tuesday, December 11. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm with the funeral immediately following at 2:00 pm.
