Philip James Hamilton

Philip James Hamilton, age 78 of Union Hall died Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Faye Hamilton; and parents, James Lewis Hamilton and Dorothy Lang Hamilton. Surviving are his son, James Lewis Hamilton; grandchildren, Konnor, Logan and Haileigh Hamilton; step-grandchildren, Bentley and Braelynn; great-grandchildren, Brixton Hamilton and Kayden Hamilton; siblings, Carolyn Ferguson, Jill Divers, Karen Bryant, John Hamilton; cousins, Graham and Lizzie Lang, Steve and Sue Wavish; numerous other family members and friends. Mr. Hamilton retired from the railroad with many years of service. He was also an avid horse lover and enjoyed roping. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012). His family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
