Phyllis Ann Edwards

Phyllis Ann Edwards, 64, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, peacefully departed this life on May 6, 2026. She was born on October 27, 1961, in Rocky Mount, Virginia, to the late Dorothy Edwards and James Edwards.

Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her outgoing personality, warm spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She loved spending time with family and friends, listening to music, laughing, and enjoying life. Phyllis was always ready for a good time and never met a stranger. Her beautiful smile and loving heart will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Frank Snyder; two devoted sons, Travis Edwards and Kevin Edwards; and her cherished grandchildren, Zakaiyah Edwards and Jariyas Belcher. She also leaves behind her brothers, Mark Edwards and Robert Ross; sisters, Kay Cooper, Beverly Mattox, Tracie (Ray) Brandon, Trudie Edwards, and Terrie Townes; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony Edwards and Dennis Edwards.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the love and memories Phyllis shared with so many throughout her life. Her kindness, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for all prayers, love, support, and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time. “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”

Funeral services will be held at Coles Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service and 2-4 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
