Phyllis Ann Hall Furrow, age 71 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday August 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy. We will always miss our wife, mother, grandmother and friend, but she is no longer suffering and is rejoicing in Heaven. Phyllis was a member of Story Creek Baptist Church where she loved working with children through VBS and as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed the fellowship of the WOM and was faithful in the card ministry. Phyllis always cared for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Alice Altice Hall; brothers-in- law and sister-in-law, Stafford and Bertha Furrow, Bob Mason and Duke Motley. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Maymon Furrow, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, M. Wesley and Rebecca Winesett Furrow; daughter and son-in-law, Allison Leigh and Darren Robertson. Also surviving are six grandchildren who were so loved and such a special part of Phyllis? life: Reece, Madison, Hanna and Ryan Robertson, Adam and Levi Furrow; special friend and neice, Ann M. Altice; sisters-in-law, Arnita Mason and Bevelene Motley; brother-in-law, Glenn Furrow and wife Lorene; many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Mary, Lisa, Celeste and Betsy for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 with Rev. Patrick Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
