Phyllis Elizabeth Hodges

Phyllis Elizabeth Hodges, age 77 of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, February 28, 2025. She was born January 2, 1948 to the late Christine Virginia Arrington Dillon and William Perry Dillon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Hodges; brothers, Wayne Dillon (Francis), Garland Dillon (Ruby), Jearld Dillon (Shelby); grandparents, Jake Dillon and Hessie Sink Dillon, Annie Greer Arrington and Joe Pete Arrington along with many aunts and uncles. Phyllis is survived by her daughter and son, Sarah Hodges (Jose De’Leon) and Steve Hodges; grandsons, Lorenzo Bartolo and Nicholas Hodges; granddaughter, Adriana Bartolo (Cheryl Bartolo); two great-grandsons, Aiden and Avery Salser; two great-granddaughters, Journi and Caiah Chambers; sisters, Gladys Flora (Earl Flora), Darleen Wright (Coy Wright), Dean Dudley, Star Wade, Edith Dillon, Roxannie Harvey (Richard Harvey), Mary McCall (Eddie MaCall), along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025 with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
