P.M. Drewry, Jr., 77, of Rocky Mount, lost his battle with multiple myeloma in the late evening of June 21, 2015. He was retired from the DuPont Company in Martinsville, VA.
P.M. was preceded in death by his parents P.M. Drewry, Sr. and Thelma James Drewry, a beloved grandmother Minnie James, a brother Thomas Drewry, and brothers-in-law J.D. Hodges and Hillard Shively.
He is survived by two sons, Dr. James Drewry, Amsterdam, Netherlands; Philip Drewry, a U.S. diplomat, and his partner Alex Silva, Pristina, Kosovo; a precious daughter, Sarah Hill and her husband Brent Hill; two grandsons whom he loved so much, Allen and Cameron Hill, Alexandria, VA; his former wife and the mother of his children, Maxine Drewry of Roanoke.
He is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Hodges and Elizabeth Shively, and a brother Richard Wayne Drewry; a sister-in-law, Judy Drewry.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the kindness shown by neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be June 24 at Flora Funeral Home from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery.
