Posey Louis Dillon, age 83 of Glade Hill passed away, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 in Lewis-Gale Hospital.
A Franklin County native, he was a retired farmer and factory worker and was a member of Mt. Ivy Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jube and Kate Holland Dillon; brothers, Maylon, Tom, Wilbur; and sisters, Dotsie Austin, Nannie Board and Mary Dillon.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Hilda Muse Dillon; his sons, Posey W. Dillon (Ann), Davy L. Dillon (Carrol); daughter, Tammy D. Angell (Wesley); grandchildren, Brian, Eric and Amy Dillon, Katelyn and Kelsey Angell. Also surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Vernard and Elsie Dillon; sister, Stella Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009 with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heifer Project International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202 (800) 422-0474 or to the Rocky Mount Vol. Fire Department, 1250 North Main Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
