Ray Junior Nichols, age 74 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Ray was born April 27, 1943 a son of the late Dalton and Mattie Whorley Nichols. Surviving are his daughter, Melinda Nichols; son, Timothy Nichols; several grandchildren; brother, Jessie Nichols (Roxie); sisters, Helen Lester (Wayne), Mae Pagans (Kenneth) and Brenda Martin; a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at New Life Baptist Church, 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2018 with Pastor Marco Smith officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
