Raymond B. Hundley

Raymond Brooster Hundley, age 95, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022. Mr. Hundley was a resident of Henry, Virginia for the majority of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy S. Hundley; and son, Clarence L. "C. L." Hundley. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Lucy F. Hundley; brothers, Albert, Earnest, Cecil, Major, Coleman, Luther, Elmer; and sister, Virginia Gilbert.

Mr. Hundley is survived by a son, Ray Hundley (Cheryl); and three grandchildren, Jason Hundley, Travis (Carriston) Hundley, and Ashley (Rico) Robinson; three great-grandchildren, Raeghan, Rhyker, and Kinsley. Also surviving is his sister, Shirley H. Coleman; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hundley was born in Bassett where he later worked for the Bassett Chair Company. He worked and retired from Blue Ridge Talc Company in Henry.

Mr. Hundley was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy. He always loved helping his family and people in his community by fixing things for them.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to his caregivers, Pam Prunty and Bonita Leavelle for their care and concern.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Family Cemetery on Henry Road.
