Raymond Milton Hunley, age 75 of Rocky Mount, went home to be with his Lord on September 5, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents W.L. and Onie T. Hunley; a brother Otis; and a sister-in-law Bessie.
Surviving are his wife Barbara Dillon Hunley; a son Dennis Milton Hunley and wife Wanda of Bassett; son Dr. Darrell L. Hunley and wife Robin of Greer , S.C.; sister-in-law Ella Grey Hunley; four brothers Cleo, Donnie, Tommy and Richard; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Milton loved his family, church, TV business and golf. His double eagle and hole-in-one were great joys, along with the companionship and generosity of his golfing buddies whose scores were indelibly imprinted on his brain. He was a Korean War Veteran, a former member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and attended Rocky Mount Baptist Church where he accepted the Lord as a child. Special appreciation is made for all the love, prayers, visits, cards, calls and work performed by many friends and family members.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Friday with Dr. Jack Corvin and Dr. Billy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
