Raymond Coolidge Mattox age 87, of Union Hall died Tuesday August 25, 2009. He was born May 2, 1922 a son of the late George William and Eula Holland Mattox. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Pagans Mattox. Surviving are brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray and Charlotte Pagans and Joyce Smithers; niece, Tina Mullins and husband Daniel; a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins. His caregivers were Charlotte Pagans and Tina and Daniel Mullins. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 pm Friday August 28, 2009 with the Rev. Bill Doss officiating. Interment will follow at the Mattox Family Cemetery. The family respectfully request no food at the home.
