Raymond "Ray" Ward

Raymond “Ray” Ward, age 51 of Moneta passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was born July 1, 1974, a son of the late Raymond Sanders Sr. and Nancy Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Sanders. Surviving are his wife, Susan Ward; parents-in-law, Sarah and Bernie Ward. Ray had a big loving heart. He loved his family very much. Ray enjoyed being outdoors, whether that was working on his cars, fishing, grilling out or camping. He loved God and was a member of Westlake Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at Westlake Baptist Church 12 noon, Monday, February 23, 2026. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake.
