Raymond Elwood Zeigler, age 88 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, March 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Zeigler; parents, Otha and Flossie Zeigler; son, Eddie Zeigler; and brothers, Roy and Doc Zeigler. Surviving are his son, Mickey and Kathy Zeigler; daughter, Shelia Harmon of Bassett; two grandchildren, Matthew Harmon and Melissa Smith; two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Rusty Smith; brother, Bobby Zeigler; sisters, Norma Pagans and Betty Jones of Forest. Mr. Zeigler was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving in Europe. He was also retired from Stanley Furniture with many years of service. A very special thanks to Dewey and Erma Young, Kim and Maddie Brown, Michael Young, Bailey Young and Brandy Young for all the support and help thru the years. Graveside services will be conducted from High Street Cemetery 1 p.m. Friday with Rev. Keith Reynolds officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
