Rebecca Lumsden

Rebecca Lumsden, age 102 of Glade Hill passed away Wednesday November 4, 2009. She was born July 1, 1907 a daughter of the late Jordan and Alice Dudley Perdue. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Lumsden; sisters, Geneva Perdue and Sallie Hoover; and brother, Dudley Perdue. Mrs. Lumsden taught school with the Franklin County Public School System for 42 years. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerre and Pat Lumsden; two grandchildren, John and Jim Lumsden; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday with Elder Junior Conner and Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
