Rebecca Anne Myers Mccall

Becky McCall of Hardy, VA, left this world on November 13, 2018. She was born August 28, 1955 in Radford, VA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Myers, and is survived by her husband, soul mate and best friend Johnny McCall, father Tommy Myers of Christiansburg, brother Dan Myers (Bonnie) also of Christiansburg, brother John Myers (Eileen) of Staunton, step daughter Jennifer Kennedy (Dave) of Roanoke, step son Bradley McCall of Wirtz, mother-in-law Dove McCall of Rocky Mount, sister-in-law Vivian Norkus (Joe) also of Rocky Mount. In addition, she is survived by four step grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. She attended Virginia Tech and Mary Washington College where she graduated with a degree in American Studies in 1977, and received her teaching certificate from Radford College. Becky taught high school math for 30 years and retired from Franklin County High School in 2010. After retirement, she worked part time at McCall Insurance Agency in Rocky Mount. She loved to travel and she loved her dachshunds Chester, Skippy and Daphne. If anyone is so inclined, donations in her name can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 18401 Virgil Goode Hwy, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 in lieu of flowers and food. In Becky's honor, a reception will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday, November 18, at the Westlake Golf Club, 360 Chestnut Creek Dr, Hardy, VA. A special thank you to the staff in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit, and the Palliative Care Unit, as well as the fine folks with Carilion Hospice.
