Rebecca Sue Hodges

Rebecca Johnson Hodges, 68 of Glade Hill passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013. She was born October 5, 1944. Rebecca was a deaconess at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren where she was a long time member. She worked at Guyer- Roberts Manufacturing for 26 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Johnson; first husband, Ronnie Carter and brother, Robert Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Earl Hodges; mother, Mattie Johnson; sons, Steve (Rosanna) Carter, Darryl (Tonya) Hodges; daughters, Tammy (Mike) Brammer, Lisa (Jeff) Booth; grandchildren, Nikolas, Dylan, Kasey, Jamie, Jessica, Jake, Zach, Jennifer, Matt, Adam, Kyle and Austin; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Caroline, Landyn, Moriah, Will, Isaiah, Madocks, Alayna, Joshua and Nora; sister, Diane (Ellis) Holland; brothers-in-law, Jay (Linda) Hodges, and Ricky Hodges; several nieces and nephews. She also loved her cat, Puff. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 with Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
