Reta Irene Cundiff Dudley, age 86 of Union Hall, died at home Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
She was a homemaker and worked hard running the family farm. She was also a member of Glade Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Board Russell Dudley; parents, Luther and Grace Cundiff; brothers and sisters, Raymond Cundiff, Edward Cundiff, Hilda Dudley Yeatts, Blanton Cundiff, Adelle Perdue, Erma Reynolds, Esther Blankenship, Alton Cundiff, Edna Toney, Wayland Cundiff, Reuben Cundiff.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Reta Ann and Robert Kent of Union Hall, Karen and Ed Korcel of Bealeton; grandchildren, Kevin Kent and Ida Bulaski of Union Hall, Russell and Kim Kent of Union Hall, Brandi Kent of Roanoke, Katrina and Adam Lasley of Blacksburg, Brent Korcel of Bealeton; caretaker and friend, Ruby Metts of Glade Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 390 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151 or to Glade Hill Baptist Church, 6627 Colonial Turnpike, Glade Hill, Va. 24092.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday with her family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
