Reva Boone Campbell

Reva Jean Boone Campbell, age 62, of Glade Hill, Va. left this earthly home and joined God’s Kingdom on Sunday, February 28th, 2016. It was a privilege to have shared our time with Reva, as she was a shining light for us all in spite of the numerous medical challenges she faced throughout her life. Reva is survived by her husband and companion of nearly 40 years, Daniel C. Campbell; son, Cory E. Campbell; and daughter, Chasity D. Campbell. She leaves behind her loving parents, Clarence C. Boone and Nora Bayer Boone. She is survived by siblings, Kay Boone Montgomery, Everett C. Boone, Mark L. Boone, and Rebecca Boone Austin. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, and many other loving extended family members. Reva was preceded in death by an infant brother, Russell Wayne Boone. Reva was a member of Redwood United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in Stephen’s Ministry, Redwood United Methodist Women, the Knitting Circle, and Celebrate Recovery. Supported by her church family, Reva’s life-long creative talents were generously put to use through her knitting, sewing, baking, cooking, and floral designing. Reva volunteered for many years with the Mended Hearts program at local hospitals. When her children were in school, she supported them in many activities, particularly her work for the Franklin County High School Band Boosters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Redwood United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. An interment at Franklin Memorial Park will follow. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the home of Terry and Rebecca Austin at 3005 Alean Road, Boones Mill, Va. Reva requested memorial donations be made to the Redwood United Methodist Church Building Fund. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and Reva throughout her life.
