Reva Love Harrison Young, age 95 of Rocky Mount, VA transitioned from her physical home to her heavenly home on September 3, 2021. Reva was born on June 1, 1926 as the sixth child of 12 children to Emmett and Julia Ellen McGhee Love and grew up in the Briar Mountain Section of Franklin County. Reva was baptized at the age of 20 and attended Providence Baptist Church. She was a virtuous woman that served the Lord and faithfully completed whatever task He had for her to do. Reva regularly saw the good in everyone and everything. She always had a smile and offered a kind word to everyone she encountered. When things didn't go quite right, you could count on her wisdom to tell you it was a small matter and tomorrow would be a better day. Reva had a giving nature and always gave more to others than she took. Also, she enjoyed drawing. Family members could count on getting a hand drawn birthday card from her which made their day even more special. She was predeceased by her husbands; William "Frank" Harrison and Russell Young; parents, Emmett and Julia Ellen (McGhee) Love; sisters, Pansy Houston, Ruth Joyce, Gladys Wray, Garnett Love; brothers, Earl Love, Walter Love & Lee Love; nieces, Brenda Joyce, Lisa Love; nephews, DL Young and Larry Wray. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Love Young Gillispie; brothers, Cecil Love (Geraldine), Clarence Love and James Love. Although, no biological children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephew as her own: Donna Wray, Denise (Ronnie) Bryant, Linda (Alvin) Wray, Wanda Martin & Wendell "Josh" (Pam) Love. She had a special love for her great niece, Kristen Williams who she referred to as "pretty little Kristen" and Kristen's pet name for Reva was "Revo".  Also, great nieces, Holli Martin, Julia (Chris) Allaman, Hannah Wray; great nephew, Thomas Wray; great-great niece, Avery Allaman. Also, step children: Mamie (Curtis) Coleman, Marvin (Gloria) Young and Sammy (Regena) Young and their families. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice and especially Susan Mabe for the care they provided to Reva. The family respectfully requests no food or flowers. Please consider Providence Church or a local charity for a donation in Reva's name. A graveside service will be conducted at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 with Rev. Steve Tilley officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
