Rex L. Johnson

Rex L. Johnson, age 95 of Glade Hill passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019. He was a WWII Veteran having served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper in Europe. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 4454, DAV and American Legion Post 6 in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Johnson; parents, Arney and Clara Johnson of Tracy, MN; brothers, Robert H. Johnson of Justice, IL, Dennis K. Johnson of Enid, OK. Surviving are his daughter, Charlotte Johnson Mendieta of Clayton, NC; three nephews, one niece, and several cousins. He was a thirty year employee of the Railway Express Agency and sixteen year employee of Thurston Motor Lines, Charlotte, NC. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Franklin Memorial Park with Rev. B. Sung officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
