Rhonda Kaye Akers

Rhonda Kaye Akers, age 48 of Rocky Mount died Monday, April 18, 2011. She was a graduate of Radford University in 1985 with a degree in English and Journalism. Surviving are her mother and father, Norma Jean and Donald Akers; brothers, Eddie Akers (Sharon) and Dillard Akers (Iris); a special niece and nephew, Mackenzie and Will Akers. She loved animals, especially cats. Memorial donations may be made to Planned Pethood Clinic, 18401 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Services will be private.
