Richard Chapman Bryant

Richard Chapman Bryant, was born on Christmas Day 1930 in Roanoke, Va. and passed away Friday, November 18, 2016. He was a Marine who served in Korea and was a graduate of the University of Southern California. Richard was a talented self-made man and a writer who loved art and literature. He will be sorely missed by his wife, Mary Buck Bryant and her sister, Lillian Broman and spouse Bruce Broman; step-children, Charles T. Hammes, Jr., Katherine Ann Hammes and spouse G.W. Shelor, Jonathan Roy Hammes and spouse Lisa Hammes; and many step-grandchildren. Anyone wishing to honor his life and service to his country may make a donation to the Salvation Army or DAV. Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
