Richard Calbert Fisher

Richard Calbert Fisher, age 80 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025. He was born November 30, 1944, a son of the late Calbert John Fisher and Thelma Pauline Robertson Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his little brother, Wayne Steven Fisher; and one grandson, Jonathan Wright. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Shirley Perdue Fisher; daughter, Jennifer Ann Wright (Elvis); grandchildren, Raymond Shawn Marx, Kevin Noah Amos (Grace), Joshua Wright and Madison Wright; great-grandchildren, Grayson Marx, Roman Marx and Emily Wright; brother, John Lester Fisher; sister, Lane Fisher Doss; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard loves his family. He enjoyed attending church, watching wrestling and other sports. Richard loved ice cream and tenderloin. A graveside service will be held at Oyler’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery (2500 Hardy Road, Hardy, VA 24101), 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating.
