Richard Reid Menefee

Richard Reid Menefee, age 94 of Sun City Center, FL died Sunday, December 11, 2016. He was born April 30, 1922 the youngest son of the late Lee Moton Menefee and Helen Garrett Menefee. He graduated from Rocky Mount High School and attended Ferrum College. He served his country proudly in the Navy during WWII and then spent his career working for the Coca-Cola Company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Turner Menefee. He is survived by his son, Richard R (Nancy) Menefee, Jr. of Spring, TX; his brothers, Lee M. (Gladys) Menefee of Chesapeake, VA and Charles G. (Mary) Menefee of Richmond, VA; and nine nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, December, 20, 2016 at Flora Funeral Chapel. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in High Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
