Richard L. Naramore

Richard L Naramore, 75, of Wirtz, VA went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2012. There his daughter, Lynda Godlewski, welcomes him with open arms. He was born Aug. 28, 1937 in Glen Ridge, NJ to Beatrice and Roswell Naramore. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Norma of 55 years; son Rick Naramore of Saddle River, NJ; daughter Debi Naramore of Simpsonville, SC; daughter-in-law Anne Naramore, sister Helen and husband Charles Norton of Lancaster, NY; brother Ray and wife Polly Naramore of Aiken, SC; David Naramore of Fulton, NY; sister-in-law Laura Ridgeway and Tom Sommers; brother-in-law Keith and wife Alice Ridgeway, brother in-law Phil Ridgeway and wife Jane; Grandsons US Army Sgt. Mark Godlewski and Eric Naramore; granddaughters Christie Godlweski and Allison Naramore; many nieces and nephews; many close and dear friends. Dick served in the US Navy and retired from IBM after 33 years of service. He graduated from State University of NY. An avid fisherman, he operated a fishing charter boat business for 13 years on Lake Ontario. He will be loved and missed for his strong and kind nature. Calling hours will be at Red Valley United Methodist Church Aug. 1, 2012 10-11 a.m. Memorial service following at 11 a.m. Rev. Joshua King officiating.
