He was a tree expert with Barlett Tree Company.
He was born on February 1, 1959, a son of the late Marvin and Florence Virginia Underwood Broughman.
Surviving are one sister, Crystal Hancock; three brothers, Michael, Dwight and Todd Broughman; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
