Richard Lewis "Ricky" Furrow age 66 of Boones Mill passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his residence.  He was born on June 17, 1959 the 5th son of Cecil and Ardella Furrow and was preceded in death by his brothers James, Riley, Ronald “Ronnie”, and Carleton “Theo”.  He is survived by his wife, Veronica “Rhonda” Furrow; two sons, Cory (Estelle) and Timothy (aka, Timonator); sister, Wanda; sister-in-law, Joanne (Riley); and many nieces, nephews, and Scouts.

Ricky spent his life serving the Lord and the community through Church and the Boy Scouts.  Ricky loved people, children, cars, NASCAR, camping, food, and coffee.  He was an expert creator and deliverer of Dad Jokes and spreading his love and enthusiasm in his own unique and loving way.  No one was a stranger to Ricky; he touched the lives of thousands of people.  His impact and legacy will be shared for generations.

Ricky will be deeply missed, but his legacy and contributions to the community will carry on through the lives of many loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at Glade Hill Baptist Church, 2 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 with Rev. David Long and Rev. Kevin Howerton officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Ricky loved food and gatherings; we would like for everyone to join us in sharing a fellowship meal following the funeral service.
