Robert "Chubby" Arrington, Jr.

Robert F. Arrington, Jr., “Chubby” age 76 of Redwood passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. Arrington, Sr. and Marian McClurey; his adopted parents, Jack and Gracie Moore; and brother, Wayne Arrington. Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra Hodges Arrington; son, Randy Arrington (Paula); daughter, Annette Gibson; stepson, Dean Hodges; three grandchildren, Jessie and Judd Arrington, Kelsey Hodges; and brother Allen Smiley (Deanna). He retired from J.P. Stevens where he started work at the age of 19. His passion was racing and to also watch others race. The family extends special thanks to the Fork Mountain Rest Home staff and Sarah for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Hodges-Austin Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
