Robert Milton Dent, Sr.

Robert Milton Dent, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Robert was a Deacon at Wirtz Assemblies of God. Robert loved spending times with his grandkids and planting a big garden. He worked for Davis H. Elliot and then became a painter. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ford and Annie Dent, one son; Robbie Dent, sisters; Dot (Cookie) Jamison, Lena Hodges and Barbra Ceno. He is survived by his wife, Doraine Dent; sisters, Jean Meador, Kitty Pagans, Myrtle (Ron) Doucette; grandkids, Tyler, Jacob and Chloe Dent, Savanna, Alexa, Camden, and Aynslie Robertson; great-grandchild, Marlee; step-sons, Landon (Lori), Jarret (Shaye) Robertson; special nieces, Twyla Dillion, Kim Meador; special friends, Gary Dillon and Denver Turner. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022. His family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Dent Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be make to Wirtz Assemblies of God, 1718 Burnt Chimney Rd, Wirtz VA, 24184.
