Robert Jamison Montgomery

Robert Jamison Montgomery, age 87 passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, two sons, Dwaine (Opal) and David (Myrtle),  one daughter Dena (Allen) Layman, 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Howard (Goldie), sisters, Frances Rutrough and Catherine Bowman, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bower Brubaker, Marlyn Updike (Jim), Kay Austin and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday, 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the church (101 Elam Lane, Boones Mill, VA  24065).
