Robert Stephen "Rob" Hurt

Robert Stephen “Rob” Hurt, age 78 of Hardy died Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born August 22, 1947 a son of the late Clifton and Francis Hurt. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Joy Hurt; mother-in-law, Nancy Wuergler; sister, Darlene (Glenn) McGuire; brothers, Wesley Hurt, Mark (Bettie) Hurt; brother-in-law, Barry (Peggy) Wuergler; sister-in-law, Leticia (Greg) Colls; nephews, Travis (Shannon) McGuire, Brian Hurt, Jason Hurt and Bryce Wuergler; nieces, Brandy Booth, Jessica (Tyler) Sanborn, Alli (Luke) Summers; great-nephews, Michael, Ambrose, Lincoln, Walker and Blake; great-nieces, Megan, Cora and Ella; and special friends, Chris Cooper and Vickie Hodges. A celebration of his life will be held at Halesford Baptist Church 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 with Pastors Keith Floyd, Chris Hale and Melvin Harris officiating. His family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon prior to the service. A meal will follow the service at the church.
