Rodney Wilfred Brown

Rodney Wilfred Brown, age 54 of Hardy died Saturday, November 9, 2019. He was born on December 20, 1964 and was preceded in death by his father, Fred Brown; mother, Thelma Brown; grandfather, Milton Truman; grandmother, Willie Clark and aunt, Barbara Booth. Surviving is his wife, Vanessa Hanson-Brown; two sons, Michael Alexander Brown and Timothy Alan Brown; two sisters, Faye Laferty and Gaye Mitchell. Other family members include nephews, Dale Laferty, Jr. and Willie Mitchell; niece, Samantha Mitchell; brother-in-law, Larry Mitchell; cousin, Deanna Booth. Rodney worked at Carvins Cove Boat Landing for about 30 years. He was well liked by friends and coworkers. Rodney was a good father and husband. He will be missed very much. Flowers can be sent to Vanessa Hanson-Brown at 2629 Tillett Road, SW Roanoke, VA 24015. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
