Rodney James Keller

Rodney (Jay Jay) Keller, age 56 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Helen (Justice) Keller; brother, Richard Keller and his father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Vanice Austin.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Gailya Austin Keller and his (“Bud”) son, Cal Keller; brother, Tommy Keller (Cindy); nephew, Greg Keller (Amanda); niece, Kimberly Keller- Bonacci (Nathan); great nieces and a nephew and a special cousin, Leah Riddle along with other aunts and cousins.

He worked several places before finding his special work family at GS Industries of Bassett.

Special thank you to Carilion Home Health, most especially his nurse, Morgan K. for their excellent care and support during the last 18 months of Jay’s life. We couldn’t have managed it without you!
